Registration

WE ARE EXCITED TO BE OPENING THIS WEEK!!!

 

  • Due to COVID-19, limited times for pre-scheduled swim are avialable.  Register here

  • Registration is currently available for two weeks July 6-17.  On June 10, we will open up registration for the next 2 weeks and on July 24, registration opens for the last two weeks.

  • We will be registering a limited number of swimmers at a time so slots may fill quickly.  If a session does not get enough demand to cover costs of staff, we will need to cancel that session and offer a refund.


Safe Operations 2020 Notice

  • Due to COVID-19 and the need to maintain distancing, no swimming lessons or swim team will be offered this summer.  We will strive to offer educational encouragement opportunities for families through the American Red Cross.

  • Screening will be done on entry to pool.  Powers Park will use ACCD (https://accd.vermont.gov/) guidelines to assess travel outside of Vermont/NH safe areas.  If traveled out of these areas, patron will be asked to not come into the pool area until quarantined.

  • Screening includes:

    • Temperature check – must be below 100 degrees Fahrenheit

    • Any signs or symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as - Fever/chills, cough,  Shortness of breath,  fatigue, sore throat, muscle/joint aches, headache, loss of taste/smell, congestion/runny nose; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; close contact with anyone known to have COVID-19;

    • Travel outside Vermont/NH

  • Facial coverings/masks are required when not in the water for adults.  It is strongly encouraged for anyone outside of the water.

  • No sharing/loaning of equipment.  Please bring your own and make sure they are with you upon leaving.  We will not be hosting a lost and found this year.

  • Here is what is allowed:  ring toys, goggles

  • Here is what is NOT allowed:  pool floaties, noodles, life jacket

  • Swimmers may be asked to perform a swim test to assess swimming ability to move into deeper parts of the pool water and cannot use the diving board until this is done.

  • There will be no picnic tables in pool area this summer.  Patrons may bring their own pop up chair or blanket.  Please respect social distancing queues placed around the pool area.  Picnic tables/playground/Pavilion/Tennis Court/Basketball court are not sanitized between uses.  Please bring your own sanitizer and clean before and after using.

  • Please respect the Social distancing queues and recommendations by the CDC - limit social gatherings/groups or congregating.

  • Sessions to run in 1-hour increments; 45 minutes swim time, 15 minutes that staff will clean before next group.  To help accommodate this and decrease the amount of co-contamination, please bring your swimmer dressed and ready to swim; encourage changing/showering at home upon exit.

  • When swim session is over, it is asked that patrons leave the park area and/or stay away from large group gatherings.

  • Do not forget your own sunscreen.

  • There will be no snack bar this year.

  • Pool capacity is subject to Governor's recommendations and tracked on www.accd.vermont.gov/covid-19.

  • Swim waiver must be signed and on file prior to entry.

  • Free swim will be done by advanced registration only and can be done online. (NO DROP-INS).

  • One non swimmer per child/family will be allowed in the pool area.

  • Anyone under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
