Powers Park Supervisor: 

Oversee all programs, staff, and daily operations at Powers Park. Responsible for scheduling and staffing daily programs at the park including, but not limited to, the swim and tennis programs.  Evaluate and supervise staff performance. Conduct weekly staff meetings. Certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, Life-guarding and WSI by 5/31/18.

Pay is negotiable based on level of experience. Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends should be expected. Please submit application as well as resume and cover letter. 

Lifeguard: 

Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes safety and engagement in accordance with Powers Park policies and procedures.

Under the guidance of a WSI instructor, lifeguards will provide swimming lessons and water safety instruction. Must be 16  years of age and possess current certifications by 5/31/18, including Life-guarding or American Red Cross life-guarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid.

Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends should be expected. 

Pool Instructional Aide:

Aid lifeguards during swimming lessons, providing support for instruction as well as setting behavior expectations with children and parents.  Must work well with children, be able to communicate appropriately and effectively, and display responsibility in and outside of the pool.  No certifications required, prior experience helpful. 

Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends are expected. 

Programming Aide:

Work with children in programming areas as an instructional aid providing structured guidance as well as setting behavior expectations with participants and parents. Areas can include tennis, sports and games, arts and crafts and refreshment stand, based on experience and interest areas. Must work well with children, be able to communicate appropriately and effectively, and display responsibility.  No certifications required, prior experience helpful.
