Water Safety Instructor: 
MUST BE AT LEAST 16 AND HAVE WSI Certification prior to June 20.  Financial assistance may be available with prior approval.  This person will oversee swimming instructions and conduct proficiency testing for all levels.  This person will also lifeguard as assigned during the summer season.


Lifeguard: 

Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes safety and engagement in accordance with Powers Park policies and procedures.
Under the guidance of a WSI instructor, lifeguards will provide swimming lessons and water safety instruction. Must be 16  years of age and possess current certifications by 6/10/22, including Life-guarding or American Red Cross life-guarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid.
Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends should be expected. 

Instructional Aide:
Aid lifeguards during swimming lessons, providing support for instruction as well as setting behavior expectations with children and parents.  This person may also assist with instruction of Tennis. Must work well with children, be able to communicate appropriately and effectively, and display responsibility in and outside of the pool.  No certifications required, prior experience helpful. 
Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends are expected. 

Summer Program Supervisor:

ommunicate and organize workflow to ensure employees understand duties while providing constructive feedback; receive complaints and resolve problems, maintain and verify timecards, support staff in providing high quality swim and tennis instruction where they can build skills working with children; communicate with Board daily; oversee and assist with pool maintenance.
Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends are expected.

Assistant Summer Program Supervisor:

Communicate and organize workflow to ensure employees understand duties while providing constructive feedback; receive complaints and resolve problems, support staff in providing high quality swim and tennis instruction where they can build skills working with children; oversee and assist with pool maintenance.
Position is seasonal and runs roughly from mid-June to mid-August. Some nights and weekends are expected.
